I actually forgot or missed that rule about resetting the map if you need to draw a card that's not available (it's obviously a rare occurrence), thanks for the reminder.
I must be missing it in the rulebook because I don't see anything that specifically says "resetting the map simulates the passage of time." There's a sentence in the introduction that says they recommend saving after one or two hours because certain events only happen if you save but nothing to the effect of map resets (i.e. actions with the stair icon) in general being related to "the passage of time.
