My guess is that it is up to the players themselves how to split up the spoils. It makes sense that while it is easier to kill a monster with 6 players, you still would only get, lets say, 3 resources. It is up to the players then whether or not the resources go to the players or to the settlement. The less players you have, the higher reward ratio. It is a nifty mechanic if this is the case.....-Ski
