Hello all,
Im thinking of buying this game to play with friends and hopefully girlfriend. I have read a ton of reviews (therefore chosing Drizzt over the other 2 DnD boardgames), and Im a bit concerned that:
1. The game might be too easy? I.e. its too easy to win. IMHO a coop game needs to be very though, where you have a winrate no more than 50%.
2. The game doesnt have much depth, i.e. its a bit too repetitive and dont offer much strategic choices? Obviously this is a though area, since it cant be too complex either (since then noone will have time to play) which is why I was looking at these kind of games.
Also I was speculating a bit about the monster AI, has noone tried to make some kind of Gears of War mod, where you would have a small deck of cards for every monstertype, and draw a new one which dictates that monsters strategy for the turn? I have a feeling it could make the game a little bit harder to predict?

I had a crack at this with limited success here:

But to be honest, the game just plays better as it is without adding in the GoW style AI tactics.
If you want a 50% success rate you should be looking at Castle Ravenloft over Legend of Drizzt. But if you want deep, complex game play in a dungeon crawl you might want to look elsewhere. The beauty and replayability of these games lies their simplicity.
