This game (for me) really cries out for sleeves. More than any game I own. The cards are beautiful right to the edge. As a result, and for the fact the game is a LCG without any useless cards, I've sleeved it all. Unfortunately I used FFG standard sized clear sleeves which have gotten sold out. Hopefully it's a temporary problem. I'd suggest protecting your purchase in some manner before the first shuffle or even deckbuilding.

I sleeved M:tG when I owned it, and have my entire Dominion collection sleeved. So I wasn't planning on shuffling the cards even once without sleeves, especially after reading on some of the reviews that the cards are average to low quality and will not last without sleeves.
I use Mayday standard euro sleeves for Dominion and have had no complaints, but was thinking of going with higher quality sleeves for Lord of the Rings. If my FLGS is out of FFG sleeves, is the Mayday Premium sleeves (green pack) a good alternative?
I should say I have also sleeved all of my cards. The Ultra Pro sleeves that are something like $1 - $1.50 for 100. I buy 1000 at a time at quite a discount.
