There really is very little overlap, and both sets integrate flawlessly.Expansions in the future are basically going to be similar to the world-specific stuff you get in the core set. Every bit of expansion material, along with personal items and mine encounters are all cross-compatible. Pretty much all you do not double up from the core sets are the depth track, some growing dread cards, some darkness cards, and the scavenge and loot decks.
So:
Tiles (potentially 12 rooms and 6 passages, all double-sided- one side is the new world, the other is mines)
Missions specific to the new otherworld
Miniatures and monster cards specific to those included in the set (if it follows the pattern set by the core sets that will be: a large number of "soldiers", 3 "heavies", and 1 "boss"
Card decks:
Otherworld: Threats, Exploration, Encounters, Artifacts
Mine: Exploration, potentially Gear
Threat decks: Low, Med, High, Epic (depending on what monsters come with each expansion)
New Hero expansions will have:
Miniatures (1 of each gender)
Description sheet and upgrade chart
Cards: Starting abilities and starting gear
