Are you allowed to "detach" from victims before they're rescued? Can you escort a victim out of the house, and leave him/her there to wait for an ambulance? If so, can you order the ambulance around to where they are and consider them rescued? We've been playing where you are allowed to do this since it seems to make sense thematically. Or does a firefighter need to be present on the same space as the victim when the ambulance arrives?

Yes. It's called a delayed rescue and it's a good tactic to give you time to get the fire under control without risking new POIs.

Yes. For example, the CAFS Firefighter passes the victim to the Rescue Specialist while all three tokens are in the same space. The player controlling the Rescue Specialist is next in turn order and escorts the victim further away from the threat (if any).

Also, can you close doors that lead to out of the house?
