I'm not trying to change your posterior odds. I don't care what you think. I'm just pointing out, to anyone else who might be reading, the flaws in your argument by assertion. If you never buy a card, and never try to use it, then your opinion about whether it's ever useful is going to be extremely weak. Because you started by assuming it wouldn't be useful and never tested that assumption.And yes, anything that's occasionally useful is, by definition, viable. What else could the word possibly mean? You should write to Merriam Webster and let them know.
