REVENGE!

My last session report saw our heroes brought to their knees by Citizen Dawn. Licking their wounds, they returned to base to review what had happened, and to seek tactical advice from the mysterious figure known only as 'Flamethrower'.

The result...

Citizen Dawn was defeated. Yay!

Legacy. 14hp
Haka. 18hp
The Wraith. 3hp

What happened?

It was a slower start for the heroes, but they built bigger hands than in match one. Legacy did no direct damage at all in the match, but fully supported the other guys through his innate power and Inspiring Presence. Haka and The Wraith dealt high damage every turn. Mostly focusing on Citizen Dawn herself, but also thinning the other Citizens plus Kraken as required. Citizen had healing throughout the match, but the wildly challenging on goings of Return with the Dawn and Devastating Aurora didn't spend too much time on the table.

Particularly cool was the final turn when Legacy inspired Haka to stomp on Dawn with a Haka of Battle, then The Wraith, left on only 3 hp, took her out with throwing knives.

Legacy
He was the support hero extraordinaire. Boosted the other guys by two points every time. Getting his 'armour', Fortitude, out also helped. Ongoings that help even by a single point can be very useful.

Haka
I know that Haka is simple to play, but just trying out his options FEELS GREAT! BOOM take 14 point damage from a Haka of Battle. Dominion is critical in order to power up his mojo, and he had two in play for a while.

The Wraith
I love The Wraith. She pulled out her Throwing Knives plus targeting device to give up to three targets 5 damage each turn. 1 base + 2 targeting device + 1 Legacy innate + 1 Legacy Inspiring Presence. That really helped to manage the citizens and the Kraken. The downside was that it took a long while to get her Utility Belt out. Focusing on dealing damage caused her to neglect her Stealth defence, hence her low final HP.

Ruins of Atlantis
Reasonably straightforward. The font of power was a dream for the heroes. Dawn recovered 10hp but had only lost 8, whilst the heroes got great cards out. Two Kraken appeared together, again, but they helped quite a bit. Though they did cause The Wraith issues.

Fourth game played. I am actually enjoying it more as I better understand what the heroes can do. I also found it more enjoyable having an idea of what Dawn might have. E.g. I was making tactical decisions to keep a better balance of in-play vs in hand in case Devastating Aurora should arrive.

Really cracking game.

Just need to find someone to play it with!
