I just read your intro and final thoughts. But this is one of the best written "lack luster" reviews of a game I've read. I appreciate your comparison to the StarTrek deck building game, and how you connect with that story line better than the Marvel heros. And how if you separate the theme from the mechanics the game is not as attractive. I'm both a fan of StarTrek and Marvel heros, so that is not a problem for me. On the other hand I could care less for generic fantasy world of Thunderstone or Ascension.I am on the fence about getting this game. I love me some superheros, but already own Dominion. I'm not sure if I need another deck builder, but the superhero theme is attractive.
