So the next logical thing to do was introduce the *next* expansion. Moving the timetable up, but not creating something unplanned out of whole cloth. The advantages being more of the game we love sooner and the disadvantages being... none.
Is there any case in which you could view pre-selling items farther and farther in advance, while adding exclusives to them, as being manipulative? Suppose that I presell a game expansion 2 years in advance, and I say the only way you're going to get card #354 is to pre-order right now. Or 5 years. Or 10 years. Is there a limit?
I'm not sure if you are rejecting the whole idea that there could be anything to complain about. Or that you just think it doesn't apply here.
I think the point at which there isn't a product/plan in place. By product I mean(near) complete. If I were to presell 'the next three expansions' with no more info than that I might consider that dodgey. However in this case >G has made it clear they had this in the pipes and have shown it is well under way. I also don't think they had a bait and switch plan, this was an opportunity that presented itself.
I think in truly manipulative cases (preselling 5yrs out) you will see the response itself auto correcting the behavior. I can't see too keen a response on such a thing.
