I am on a dungeon. Nearby are orcs that I see I can defeat without the use of my Scout. There are N dungeon monsters that I cannot defeat, but all of the dungeon monsters that I CAN defeat (again without the Siege Attack from the Scout) are more Fame than the orcs. This is a game where tempo and number of turns matter. Should I go into the dungeon?
If the game were unlimited in turns then perhaps P wouldn't change with the knowledge of the monster.

If there are N dungeon monsters that you can't defeat, and M that you can, then P = M/(M+N). You're going to attack the ones that you can kill, and not attack the ones that you can't. This is true regardless of whether you get +1 Fame from the Scout.
But if you use the Scout P becomes 1 or 0. That's the point!
No. P is the fraction of the chits that you could draw, that you are actually going to choose to attack.
If all of the brown monsters are still in the draw pile, and you look at the top one planning to enter the dungeon to defeat it unless it's a Werewolf, then P = 8/10 = 4/5.
