Thread: A Touch of Evil: The Supernatural Game:: Rules:: Solo Vampire Showdown

Hello,

I had an odd situation tonight in the my solo game against the Vampire and I wanted to know if I played everything correctly.

I had 3 total investigators. The mystery card "The Horror" was in play, which makes you roll twice on the Advanced Co-op Chart. My first roll was an 11 - Possessed by Madness. Two of my investigators fought and, of course, knock each other out simultaneously. So 2 of my 3 investigators are out of commission. I roll again on the Advanced Co-op Chart and roll a 1 - Surprise Showdown. This causes my final active investigator to have to fight the Vampire immediately. He losses, badly, and does not cause a single wound in the first fight round and gets KO'd. The Vampire then successfully uses Slips Into The Night and cancels the Showdown.

The question: Since all three investigators are KO'd, do I lose or does the Vampire use his ability to flee, which cancels the Showdown before the wounds are done to the last investigator?

I played it that I lost because all 3 investigators are KO'd, regardless of the Vampire using Slip Into The Night. I guess the term "cancel" is throwing me off.
