HiWell, that's part of the deal: no plastic figurine makes the board game cheaper and affordable.
I don't think that with plastic figurine and high price, the public target will be seduce by the game (that's a familly game afterall).
But I'm like you, and I am very glad that FFG took the game for north america. Maybe, if the game is a good investment for them, we will see Print On Demand extension and plastic characters ;)
