That's exactly right.

Yes. Cards take effect in the order they came into play, so the end-of-turn effects on Omnitron's villain card happen before the end-of-turn effects on the card that just came into play.
Either this typo is common, or the game is just delineating heros as "Hero Targets" because they can be targeted??
Hero Targets are anything with an HP count that comes out of a hero deck. There's not a lot of alternate hero targets in the base set (all I can think of is the shield thing in Visionary's deck) but you see them a bit more in expansion decks (especially Unity's various mechanical golems). Similarly, there are Environment Targets and Villain Targets that follow the same terminology rules.
