Well, it does matter.If you have equipped 2 daggers and are wanting to switch to a 2 handed sword, you'd be putting 2 daggers in your pack. If you have spells or something in your pack that take up space, you only have 3 places. the 2 handed weapon was 1 of those spaces, but now you'd have to have room for 2 additional or you'd have to discard one. Thats why it's important, and important to switching out.
