Cutting to the chase: How do you handle players entering/leaving play during a game? I mean, assuming you don't just hand them a big book and say "wait for the next session, bub."
Things that scale with players:
1. Monster limit.
2. Outskirts limit.
3. Gate limit.
4. Number of monsters who spawn on a monster surge.
5. Hit points of the Ancient One.
6. Also that other thing I'm sure I missed.
Seems like dropping a player is easier, as all of those limits increase. Adding a player, however, seems problematic.
Advice?
