If you're introducing 7 new players at the same time, I'd steer away from Cthulhu.
Also, teaching 7 players at the same time is going to be challenging. I might suggest not playing an investigator yourself and assuming the role of Game Master to keep the game flowing. It might be a more enjoyable experience for everyone if you're not playing an investigator and talking people through the rules. Good luck and I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes!
