How does that makes sense to you. You are at Dol Guldur. Exploring it and the idiot same card is drawn again. SUCKS. You are dead. Only 3 hero. Not enough questing. Not enough resources. 1 hero battling defending a creature. And if you don't defend. you have 50% chance to die since shadow card often have deadly effects when attack in undefended.
I have played the EASIEST quest and the game is either too easy or too hard. Complete balance screw up. I need to vent because I would punch the solo designer in the face right now. They stole my money!
I'm pretty sure the solo could be balanced properly but the fact it isn't is a testament to the greediness and incompetence of the editor.
I'm playing MECCG pro level and that's what I call a strategic card game. A MtG player would watch us playing and wonder. But he went back to his mind numbing game because MECCG requires financial and intellectual commitment.

ok from these comments i gather that your opinion is based on your lack of experience in LOTR:LCG, because i use to have the same rant as you and i stow away LOTR:LCG for 1 year after feeling its horribly unbalanced. But after replaying it again i got the gist of it and now i love this game even though im still nub at deckbuilding..

Having a different opinion is great but at least you should get some facts right so your opinion is not skewed by prejudice and wrong facts
