Thread: Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game:: General:: If you bought this you should remove these Broken/Worthless Cards

I have no qualms about revising a game. I own it and I can do what I want with it. However I do want to hear your opinions before I completely remove these cards.

TREASURES:

Guided Strikes

A card that temporarily lets you have an ac bonus? Not better that any permanent item and therefore useless.

Run!

Why oh why does a boost in only +2 speed help? And for only a round?

Heroic Stand

An AC bonus based on the number of Monsters your touching for a round? Horrid!

Surround Them!

Same as Heroic Stand but based on the number of Hero's.

Crystal Ball

Can I tell you how pissed I was seeing this treasure? No, words do justice. Reveal the top cards of any card deck. Useless. Do said thing instead of attacking. $%^&^%#$#!

Holy Water

Mehhh... Instead of attacking, do 1 damage 1 tile away to an Undead instead of attacking. Don't I mostly do one damage when attacking?

Glyph of Warding

I hate the "Instead of Attacking"s. IoA, place marker and the first Monster that moves onto that tile takes 1 damage. haha so pathetic. (They upgraded this in WoA with Cantrips)

Necklace of Fireballs

ITS CALLED NECKLACE of FIREBALLS! I can't... I just can't.

Shake It Off

Remove a condition from any hero IMMEDIATELY. What do you think?

ENCOUNTERS:

Overrun x2

Seems like Wizards loves this card title (see Magic M12) and ALWAYS make it broke. All Heros take damage (bad enough) equal to the number of Monsters controlled. I find this card too powerful. What do you think?

Bat Swarm

An environment that forces all ranged fighters to roll twice and choose the lowest roll? This stays forever. I think it is too stunting for many characters. Do you agree?

There are a lot more extremely powerful Encounter cards. Which do you say is the most powerful?

Final question:

The Level Up in this game is different from the later games. It says that you have to spend 5 experience points to have your hero become level 2 unlike that the later games just letting you become level 2 without the 5 experience points.

One more thing:
Can you use the Lvl 5 bosses for experience points (say they are worth 5).

Thank you for taking time to help me decide which cards should be removed and giving your valuable and probably more experienced opinions.
Please add cards that you think should be removed. (Even if from later sets because I'm going to go through each card in those as well)
