Review: Rogue Dungeon: 2nd Edition:: Review of the unique game

Allow me to say that I am Golden board game collector and player. I did play all my games and not just once. I am in the hobby for around 20 years.
I am playing this game exclusively in 2 players.
With all that said, what do I think about this game? in short it is brilliant.
There is so much game in that small box that it is unbelievable.
Let’s answer a few important questions:
Is this a finished and polished product? Yes.
Does it need expansions? No.
Would I want expansions? Yes, Yes and Yes.
Does it have some unique mechanics that will change your world? No.
Did it come with something new that was not here before? No. Actually, game mechanics are stupidly simple and boring.
Quality of components? Great!

As the game is put together with artwork, heroes and written text it is giving players a special feeling that they are playing legend of Grimrock or similar game. The author knew exactly what he wants to achieve and bring to the table, and he did so almost flawlessly.
With different heroes and end game bosses replay ability is endless.
Besides that, for such a small project, every artwork is unique and excellent quality. I have no idea how you managed to do it but one big bravo!

Few negatives
- it is hard to get this game. I did not back the kickstarted and I am living in EU. To get it here was a little miracle but now I am a proud owner of this gem.
- I love story in my games. This game tells excellently the story of dungeon delving. But I am missing bigger narrative about heroes, world and end game bosses.

Wishes
- if there ever will be an expansion I would love to have a prelude card as in Eldritch horror. On card would be a story about how to save a princess or stop the evil wizard and few rules change e.g. rest is only possible on stairs, or healing potion healing value is only d6 or every monster has some added rule... Something based on prelude story to match the theme.
-few background stories for heroes with little +/- abilities. E.g. veteran of war - has bonus for... but minus because of his never healed wound.
-maybe floor specific rules - e.g. on this floor is strong curse. Healing potions are poisons potions that deal d6+1 dmg and all creatures get poison trait on 5...

This game deserves much more audience praise as it has now.
