Agreed, but there are some killer items in their that he can use.
As far as the OP, I take everything out that the other characters are using, base weapons, etc. I just think it prevents some weird situations as well as drawing useless cards.
Over the course of the campaign, each character will eventually pick up some decent stuff that will help them out. Take some extra time to do some good searching when you get a chance. Especially early on in Chapters, we have a tendency to add a cheese to allow everyone to get a Search in if possible. Have Filch pick up the ability that allows him to check 3 Search cards, and then have him try to get something for Maginos. Instead of wasting an attack with Maginos if the enemy is under control, have him Search instead. Like I said, there are some awesome items in there for Maginos as well.
