FFG's status page has never included correct status for all packs. Packs get added to "Awaiting reprint" in batches, sometimes months after they're out of stock everywhere.
LOTR had a massive list of "awaiting reprint" boxes at the end of the last year, courtesy of an anemic reprint schedule. But they've gone away because they were just reprinted. AFAIK, none of the packs that were on the awaiting reprint went away for any other reason than FFG actually reprinting the packs.
I wouldn't worry. Not only is LOTR LCG the most recent LCG to have had something added to "awaiting reprint", it's the most recent FFG product of any kind to be added to "awaiting reprint".
