I assume it is the same for the hero. Where some armor said lightning= +1 blue shield. Even if i got multiple lightning, I can only trigger this once.

Each single ability text line can only be uaed once during a single Attack. This applies to Attack as well as Defence and to Heroes as well as Monsters.
